That's a wrap on the 2026 Boston College Faculty and Staff 5K. From the start line in the Mods to the celebration in the MAC Courts, it was a great morning with colleagues from across campus.

The course

5K course map: from the Mods through main campus and around the Chestnut Hill Reservoir

The course starts and finishes at the Mods, loops through main campus past Gasson Hall, and circles the Chestnut Hill Reservoir.

  • Stay on sidewalks and running paths, not the road.
  • A police detail helps you cross to the Reservoir.
  • There is a water station at the Reservoir.
  • Volunteers and staff are along the course.
Turn-by-turn directions ▾
  1. Start at the Mods.
  2. Exit the Mods toward the Margot Connell Recreation Center (MCRC).
  3. Turn left, passing Walsh Hall and Stayer Hall.
  4. Cross St. Thomas More Road at the entrance and head toward Commonwealth Avenue.
  5. Turn left on Commonwealth Avenue toward the main entrance.
  6. Turn left at the main entrance, down Linden Lane toward Gasson Hall.
  7. Keep Gasson Hall on your right.
  8. Turn left at Devlin Hall.
  9. Turn right after Devlin, before the stairs.
  10. Go straight with Higgins Hall on your left, take the circle on the left and head toward Beacon Street.
  11. Turn left onto Beacon Street and follow the sidewalk to the Reservoir.
  12. At Chestnut Hill Drive, turn left toward the university exit road.
  13. Cross at the university exit to the Reservoir (a police detail helps you cross).
  14. At the Reservoir, turn right and follow the path around it. There is a water station here.
  15. After circling the Reservoir, cross the road at the same spot.
  16. Turn right and head toward the MCRC.
  17. Turn left on the sidewalk just after the Pine Tree Preserve, before the MCRC.
  18. Turn right on the main sidewalk in front of the MCRC.
  19. Turn left into the Mods to the finish line.

Shirt and bib pickup

Pick up your bib in the MCRC lobby before the race. Register by the early deadline to get the commemorative t-shirt; extra shirts go first come, first served after the race.

Start and finish

The race starts and finishes at the Mods, next to the Margot Connell Recreation Center. Stick around for the post-race celebration in the MAC Courts.
